On 7-8 November 2024, the first Baltic Hernia Days congress took place at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk.

A herniology workshop was held on 26-27 April 2024 at at the Institutul Regional de Gastroenterologie si Hepatologie Prof. Dr. Octavian Fodor in Cluj- Napoca, Romania. The aim of the workshop is to present new approaches on laparoscopic techniques in the resolution of primary abdominal wall hernias.
The Austrian Hernia Days will take place in Salzburg from 21-22 March 2024.
The 13th Congress on Advances in Colorectal Surgery will be held between 11 and 13 April 2024 at Hotel Narvil in Serock. The Chair of the Organizing Committee is Professor Marek Szczepkowski, MD PhD.

A congress of the Society of Polish Surgeons (TChP) was held on 20-23 September in Wrocław. TChP congresses are among the most important events in Polish surgery. This year, the congress was attended by 1500 specialists from Poland and abroad.
The participants of the Wrocław event could choose from 31 sessions. Nearly 160 works were presented during poster sessions. There was also an opportunity to take part in practical workshops.
The La Nuvola Convention Center in “the Eternal City” provided a platform for the exchange of experiences between specialists in the field of endoscopic surgery, but also an opportunity for the medical community to engage with representatives of the medical industry. The event was attended by over 1400 participants.
This was a very special event for German surgeons of various specialties, including general surgery, neurosurgery, paediatric surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, trauma surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
