Specialist in general surgery, certified in coloproctology (EBSQ). Born on 22/09/1969 in Poznań, graduate of the K. Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań. Director of the Institute of Surgery, Head of the Department of General Surgery, Gastroenterological Oncology and Plastic Surgery at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences. Ex-president of the Polish Club of Coloproctology, member of the Board of the Association of Polish Surgeons. Professional activity: colorectal surgery, endocrine surgery, complication therapy, hypodermic therapy, prehabilitation. Scientific activity: genetically determined diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, treatment and diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases, modulation of inflammatory and adaptive processes in the gastrointestinal tract, negative pressure therapy, surgical site infection. Member of numerous national and international expert teams in the field of coloproctology, negative pressure therapy, inflammatory bowel diseases, author of more than 350 scientific publications, editor and co-editor of 9 scientific monographs, editor-in-chief of the Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Journal, originator of a number of medical applications, including for wound treatment www.iwound.pl, co-developer of the concept and systems for monitoring wound healing www.warmie.eu and the portal www.prehabilitacja.pl, actively promoting the concept of prehabilitation - comprehensive preparation of the patient for treatment, including surgery.
